Piccadilly, Beatles and Bus Rides

Today we continued to use the "Hop on, Hop off" bus around London. We decided to go to Piccadilly Circus and explore the area. We had lots of fun going round in circles, underground at Piccadilly Station. We explored a few of the theatres and shops but didn't spend any money!
Our bus ticket included a free walking "Beatles tour" close to Piccadilly so we decided to join in on this group walk. We had a great tour guide whose Beatle knowledge was outstanding. He took us to  many places where the Beatles had performed, recorded music and shopped.
We saw the building where the they famously performed the songs on the roof just before they broke up. He also added in a lot of information about the royal family and we saw many of the very exclusive shops where members of the royal families shop. Needless to say we only did window shopping at these places.

When it was time to head back to our accommodation we had a little bit of trouble finding the correct bus stop and did quite a bit of walking. Once on the correct bus, we realised that we were virtually going to have to do a full round of the tour before we would get back to the stop near our accommodation. It took an hour and a half in peak hour London traffic! Once back in familiar  territory we headed back to our favourite English pub for tea. A very enjoyable day!!
